Our commitments
At Metanoïa, we want to be as transparent as possible with you about our activities. We are continually working to further reduce our carbon footprint. Here is a diagram showing the origin of our suppliers.
ECOLOGY
Our knickers and all our textiles, which are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, are made in France in the same workshops. Raw materials such as organic cotton and polyurethane come from Turkey and Austria. 90% of water is saved by growing organic cotton compared to conventional cotton. Our knickers are washable and reusable for around 5 years, depending on how you look after them.
Health
Gone are the days of conventional protection products containing pesticide residues or other substances that act as endocrine disruptors. It is possible to ensure that our bodies and flora are respected during our periods. That’s why all our textiles are certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This certification ensures that there are no substances harmful to your skin and health.
Above all, there’s no risk of toxic shock syndrome, because the blood doesn’t stagnate; it drains away naturally. This is an advantage over tampons or even the cup, which, although more ecological, does not protect you from this risk.
COMFORT & PRACTICITY
Comfort is a priority. Having your period is not the best time of the cycle, so making sure you have protection that envelops you and is soft is a must. We’ve selected exceptionally soft organic cotton for you. The elasticated waistband on both models has been specifically chosen so that you feel supported but not squeezed. The fabric of the first absorbent layer is woven in such a way that blood is absorbed and the first layer dries quickly. So, if your underwear is well adapted to your flow, you’ll be dry all day long!
Metanoïa menstrual panties can be worn between 10am and 12pm depending on your flow, so there’s no need to think about changing your tampon, pad or emptying your cup. If you don’t have period pains, you literally forget you have them. You have to try it to believe it!
METANOIA, HELPING YOU TO BETTER UNDERSTAND
Isabelle, our founder, is a psychologist. She believes that psychological and mental well-being also depends on a good relationship with your cycle. Menstruation and all the issues surrounding it are still too taboo. We’ve set ourselves the goal of talking about absolutely every subject surrounding menstruation, by including personal experiences in the majority of our blog articles and social media posts. This way, you can develop a better relationship with your cycle.
