Who am I?
Hello, my name is Isabelle and I’m 28. I’m passionate about health and ecology is a subject close to my heart. I knew I wanted to make a contribution in these areas. While I was doing a Master’s degree in environmental psychology at the University of Geneva, I reviewed my own consumer habits, and conventional sanitary pads quickly became a problem: the waste they generated, their dubious composition, the need I had to go out and buy them all the time, the lack of comfort and the mental burden that went with it. It was all too much.
I tried out all the alternatives available and menstrual panties literally changed my life.I was so enthusiastic about this product that, when I finished my studies, I decided to create a truly ecological and feminine Swiss brand. After more than a year and a half of product development and finding suppliers who share the same values, I’m delighted to present Metanoïa, the Swiss brand of eco-responsible menstrual lingerie.

What is Metanoia?
Metanoïa knickers are 100% organic cotton, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified French textiles and all the raw materials are European (see our diagram in commitment). With the smallest possible carbon footprint, they are made in France, just a few hours by train from Geneva. The French manufacturing process is of the highest quality, which means that our knickers are valuable and last longer. The pants last from 4 to 6 years (depending on the care you give them).
How would it change my life?
It’s a product that makes you forget you’re having your period. You put it on in the morning and take it off at night. It lasts all day and keeps you dry. You no longer produce waste, you no longer have to worry about your health, and you gain a level of comfort never before experienced with conventional protection.
What’s more, and this is something we don’t think about straight away, is the mental load we have to carry. We don’t have to go out and buy them every cycle, or think about when to change our tampon or pad. Your periods are much more relaxed. It’s a complicated period and I know that this product will bring you comfort and reassurance.
